These Terms of Service govern your use of the Forty Together website, mobile application, and related services. By creating an account or using Forty Together, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Safety guidance.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. Give us accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Wellness, medical, and emergency boundaries

Forty Together is a habit and accountability tool. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, pastoral, or emergency services and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Do not use the service to change medication, attempt unsafe fasting or restriction, or manage an emergency.

Stopping alcohol suddenly after prolonged heavy drinking can be dangerous and may require medical support. Consult a qualified clinician before beginning an alcohol-free challenge when this may apply. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

AI and Scripture features

AI-generated plans, coaching, moderation signals, and Scripture reflections may be incomplete or incorrect. They are optional aids, not professional advice, divine instruction, or a substitute for reading a passage in context. Human moderators—not automated scores alone—make account-enforcement decisions.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you create. You give Forty Together a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service according to your audience choices. This license ends when the content or account is deleted, except for temporary backups or records we are legally required to retain.

Do not post content you do not have the right to share. Public sharing is always optional. You are responsible for considering what personal information appears in anything you choose to share.

Community rules

Treat people with dignity. You may not use Forty Together to harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, discriminate against, or expose another person’s private information. Do not post illegal content, sexual exploitation, dangerous instructions, spam, malicious code, or content that encourages self-harm, eating-disorder behavior, medication changes, unsafe restriction, or other serious harm.

You can report content and block members in the app. We may review, limit, remove, or preserve content and may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts to enforce these Terms or protect the community. Moderation decisions can be sent to hello@fortytogether.com for review.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape private information, automate abusive traffic, misuse invitations, or use Forty Together in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.

Account deletion and termination

You may permanently delete your account from Account & Privacy in the mobile or web app. Deletion revokes access and removes associated personal content as described in our Privacy Policy. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, or repeated violations of these Terms.

Service availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We will use reasonable care in operating Forty Together but do not promise that every feature will always be available or error-free.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Forty Together is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Forty Together and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Forty Together changes. We will post the revised Terms here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice before material changes take effect when required.
